Do You Use One of these..........
.. a DayTimer of course!!!! OR Franklin COvey or any other similar cool thing? You know, one of those thick 3 ring notebooks that they had before PDA's, FDA's and OICU812's? That had literally your life in them and a divider or tab for every aspect of your life? I loved those so much - they were the neatest thing. I am a neat freak when it comes to organization and boy those daytimers had it sll. Problem was, I was just not that busy to need one!!! I just watched that movie "27 Dresses" and she had a daytimer - she had MY daytimer!! I drooled when I saw that! Why couldn't that be mine?!?!?But alias, a simple sheet of paper and a pencil to originate, is all I need. What about you? Do you use? What's your favorite part about your daytimer?
Indiana Jones and the coffee table of doom
I used to think I was fairly organized. I had a nice job, and my desk was mostly clutter free. I ordered a nice planner from Franklin Covey, and I used it! Then I had a baby, quit my job and took on the role of stay-at-home-mom. Now my tub needs scrubbed, the laundry needs to be done, and has anyone seen my coffee table? I know it's under there somewhere... Are there any other ladies out there like this? I need to hear from you girls, because I think I'm going crazy. And now: I'm off to go dig the aforementioned coffee table out from under the pile.
7 commandments of success.
Success is for what we labor hard in our lives, although it’s not easy to come but its fruits are indeed sweet. Arjun Seth who is associated with Franklin Covey, South Asia (one of the world’s largest training companies) has the following seven commandments of success to share. 1) BE PROACTIVE: He reveals that the person should have a strong aptitude to compete with the changing environment, a strong desire to learn new skills, face the world, instead of retreating back with the fear of failure. 2) BEGIN WITH END: Next he adds that self awareness is of extreme importance i.e., before taking in a major decision whether personal or professional; it’s significant to be aware of upshot. Once you have sown the seeds, analyze after about six months whether you have achieved the desired output or not. 3) FIRST THINGS FIRST: One should be clear about his/her priorities; means differentiate between urgent and important. The urgent work should be your priority but ignoring important is not worth and central still is not spending your valuable time on unimportant things. 4) THINK WIN-WIN: without compromising on your principles, think in terms of providing benefit to yourself and others. Time management
does it really affect in organisations??Time management systems have become exceedingly popular in recent years... and with good reason. The ultimate potential benefit of such systems is the ability to optimize how you spend your time in order to extract the best possible results in the shortest period of time. Such systems do come with a price, however, and that price is the time you must spend first learning and then maintaining the system. Generally speaking, the more complex the system, the more costly it is to use. The more time you spend managing your system, the less time you'll spend reaping the rewards of increased productivity.Since the early 1990s, I've studied time management extensively, both by devouring existing knowledge on the subject and through first-hand trial and error. I've read a shelf full of books on time management, listened to hundreds of hours of time management audio learning, and read dozens of articles on the subject. I've used a variety of time management systems including Franklin-Covey, David Allen's Getting Things Done, and Anthony Robbins' Rapid Planning Method (formerly called OPA for Outcome-Purpose-Action). I've used PC software...
