| American Express made it self a bank to get a hand out, is that fair? | | Yep you heard me right. American Express had itself reclassified as a bank so that it could get its hands on some bail out money. Come on. American Express is not a bank. They are a credit card company. There are not going into the bank business. They are still going to be a credit card company. Just now they are "classified" as a bank and therefore get 3.5 Billion in bail outs. Gee it looks like anyone can decide to be a bank and get money. I wonder if I could just "decide" to be a bank and get a bail out. What do you think of this bail out and how it was done?
